Greetings, Bearers!

What a great day it is!  The rain has stopped and the sun is shining.  Anything that smacks of warm temperature is enough to put a smile on my face!

I’ve recently learned that The Summoning of Clade Josso and The Summoning of Old Velt will be featured in an online book club courtesy of Ms. Ceri Clark who resides across the pond in England (Thank you again, Ms. Clark!  And congrats on the wedding today, partly because this one didn’t interfere with my morning cartoons!  I’m still a bit traumatized by that other wedding incident with Di and Charles taking the place of the Superfriends, but I’m getting over it… mostly…).  Anyway, check out THIS LINK and scroll down to September of 2012.  Any of you who are in that book club are welcome to drop me a line with any questions or thoughts!

So, despite my desire to do the jitterbug of joy for the rest of the afternoon, it is back to work, as well as back to prayers for those who lost so much down south due to the tornado outbreak.  If you’re down there and reading this, know that I am keeping you in prayer, and look to help in other possible ways as well.

The weekend comes.  I might be trying out arena football; that’s how desperate I am to see a flying pigskin.

See you in the Vein!

Greetings, Bearers!

Two quick bits for you to enjoy.  First, here’s an interview I did for Scribbles and Tunes (big thanks to Chris for letting me do it).  I like quirky interviews like that; so much fun to do!

Second, I’m planning on getting ready to take the plunge into the world of Dune, the famed universe featuring Paul Atredies and the giant worms.  I’ve seen the old movie, but at the recommendation of the guitar player in the jazz band I work with, I’m going to check out the first book in the series.  If any of you (my readers) have read anything from the Dune universe and want to chime in, feel free to do so!

So back to work for me.  Man, I’d really like a big pizza right now.

See you in the Vein!

Greetings, Bearers!

In between writing stories, I’ve posted a review for Orson Scott Card’s book Lost Boys on Amazon.com for your approval.  Check it out if you have any interest in Card!

And now, back under I go (holds breath…)….

See you in the Vein!

Greetings, Bearers!

Back from an all-too short vacation, and unfortunately I didn’t get nearly as much writing done as I would have liked.  On the bright side, I have learned how to put together a most impressive ceiling in my back room!

Let me rephrase that a little bit: I did get some writing done.  I started another short story, and am making good progress on it, as well as pushing forward on The Summoning of Kran: The Third Descent into the Vein.  Unfortunately, as much as I love the family, it’s very hard to write when everybody is home and wants your attention–which I love to give, don’t get me wrong; but it ties my hands on writing.

But things are back to normal now, or at least as close to “normal” as they’ll get for me 😀 .  I’m almost finished with Orson Scott Card’s book L0st Boys and will be posting a review of it on Amazon.com in the next week or so.  I’ve also checked out a copy of Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes, which I read quite some time ago, but want to read again after having seen the movie this past week.  As with most novels, I expect the book to be better than the movie.

Still working, though.  Hang in there.  More stories to come soon!

See you in the Vein!
